Wine Bar in White Oak
A bespoke wine and coffee bar for a repeat client. Unable to find an existing piece that fit the space, they knew exactly what they wanted in a custom build.
The countertop is a single joint from a wider slab, and underneath is my favorite part - the wine rack. I played with the templates I made to get the heights of the rests just right. I’ll definitely use these templates again, the wine rack came out so nice with the quarter-sawn grain.
We went with a Dunes (Rubio) hardwax oil to maintain a neutral and natural appearance of the oak, complimenting the surrounding decor.
The metal wireframe was fabricated to hold pictures, napkins, etc., below a full complement of wine glasses and coffee mugs hanging from the top shelf.
